We hope that everyone enjoyed another great golf season and are eagerly awaiting the start of the 2008 season. We thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing our current members and many new members in the spring. As in the past, we expect the pro shop to open around March 15th with the golf course to open by April 1st.
As you will see, we have maintained our Individual Membership fee at a very affordable price. By purchasing the individual membership for just $100, you will have the opportunity to play our beautifully designed Tom Fazio layout at drastically reduced green fees. For the 2008 season, 18 hole member green fees will be $34 while the 9 hole member green fees will be $17. This is just a $1 increase in green fees from last year. I'm sure you will see that if you compare our green fees to other premium public golf courses, Sawmill remains a bargain.
As always, we will continue to offer our "Early Bird Special", our most popular member benefit, to those that purchase their membership by April 1st. By doing so, you once again will receive a complimentary $34 green fee in the month of October. Just as the $100 membership fee has not changed, the guest green fees for those of you who like to entertain your friends or business associates has remained the same. As a member, you will benefit by having the privilege of bringing one different guest with you during each visit and that guest will receive a reduction in their green fees also.
Our Golf Director, Chris Bleile, along with PGA Golf Professional Ryan Spicer, are currently purchasing next years pro shop merchandise. If you have not participated in Sawmill's great April sale in the past, make sure you do so in 2008. It's a great way to pick up brand name merchandise at prices up to 70% off.
Don't forget to visit the golf course's website, www.golfsawmillcreek.com, which was launched in 2006. Please take a minute to check it out and I'm sure you will find it is one of the finest golf web sites around. Download our scorecard, check out our yardage book and photo album. With the addition of the website, we hope that all of you take the time to give us your email address on your membership application. By doing so, you will be notified of "member only E specials" that others don't have access to.
